Snow
Rare snow smothers the sand. At the water’s edge, gentle waves comfort the shore. A hush falls like the darkness.
By morning, thick fog blankets the beach, erasing the horizon. Fog is interrupted by foam at the shoreline, separating beach from sky.
We get a little snow every year, but this stormless snowfall seemed to bring everything to a halt. Silent night in January.
